Only through Don Draper did I begin to grasp the feeling after the assassination.
Of course my generation has been told 9 eleven was ‘our’ JFK shooting. Certainly the uneasiness must’ve been alike. And the fixation on the news. The desire to fast forward what feels like a movie. But then, there isn’t anything to say about national tragedy that has yet to be said. Understood, though, yes.
